Ed Trust West’s Communities Organizing for Racial Equity in Education (CORE) Collective.

PON collaborates with Ed Trust West (ETW) and their partners across California to advocate for impact and create stronger policies and practices that expand K-12 and higher education opportunities to students of color and low-income students. Equity remains at the center of their efforts at all times. Additionally, PON is currently a grantee of the ETW CORE Collective, a program that builds the power and capacity of organizations like PON so together we can advocate for racially equitable and just policy, and systems change in education.

The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Equity Coalition

This coalition is composed of civil rights, advocacy, community, parent, and student organizations committed to strengthening California’s current K-12 school funding and accountability system to realize its promise of creating a more equitable school system. PON has been a member of this essential coalition since 2013.

Consortium for Multilingual Learner Success

The Consortium for Multilingual Success is a regional collective created by an advisory committee and the California Community Foundation to uplift what we know about good policies, programs, and practices for Dual Language Learners (DLLs) and English Learners (ELs). Today, the Consortium is composed of nearly 100 civil rights, policy, research, philanthropic, educator and community-based organizations working to strengthen the prosperity of California and Los Angeles County by advocating for an educational system that fully supports the needs and embraces the assets of DLL and EL students. In 2024, PON joined the consortium in the critical role as advisory committee member to share is expertise with Consortium partners.

National Association for Family and Community Engagement

NAFSCE is the first membership association focused solely on advancing family, school, and community engagement (FSCE). Their mission is to advance high-impact policies and practices for family, school, and community engagement to promote child development and improve student achievement. PON has been a member of NAFSCE for the past five years. NAFSCE is a partner of both, PON and CA-FEN, and they share their expertise to projects related to meaningfully including family engagement in educator preparation programs.
